Herbalism

Herbal medicine [or herbalism] is a traditional medicine or folk medicine practice based mainly on the use of plants and plant extracts used either to prevent or treat disease. Most cultures have their own style of herbal medicine such as Indian Ayurvedic medicine, western herbal medicine and traditional Chinese medicine. Herbal medicine practitioners undergo lengthy training and all herbal prescriptions are individually tailored to the client's needs.
