Art Therapy in the Isle of Man

The desire and aim of Art Therapy is to enable the client to effect change and growth on a personal level and to discover a healthier sense of self. It is a non threatening therapy which provides an alternative to those who struggle with language to express what they are feeling. No artistic skills are required, just an openness to creativity and spontaneity. The therapist usually provides a number of art materials such as paint, pencils, pastels, crayons, clay, collage materials and puppets. Therapy is carried out in confidential one to one and group settings by a qualified art therapist and it is suitable for children, teenagers and adults.
