HELP

Not sure where to start?

It can be difficult finding the right therapy, or therapist, to suit your needs. This is why the Isle of Man Complementary and Alternative Therapy Directory was created - a place where you can not only find information to make a decision on what therapy to choose, but also a place where you can find a therapist whenever you are ready to do so.

This directory is here to help you make that decision. To start, choose where you are on your journey:

I’m at the beginning of my journey and am not sure if alternative and complementary therapy is right for me

We understand that people can be unsure when looking into new therapies, especially ones that that don’t know too much about. If you are here because you have decided to try a holistic approach, you have already made a positive step towards good health and well-being.

You can discover what types of therapies are available and what they involve on our therapies page. These pages also go into detail about what the different types of therapies can help with.

We understand that knowledge is power, so on our FAQs page we address a number of questions including ‘What is alternative and complementary therapy?’ and ‘When might complementary therapy be useful?’. We hope that answering these questions will help you understand more about alternative and complementary therapy.

All of the information we provide on CAMIOM Therapy Directory is intended to help you understand the different types of therapeutic processes and aid you in the decision whether to contact a therapist. It may take longer that you originally anticipate - that’s fine, just take a break and come back if you start to feel overwhelmed.

I’m ready to contact a therapist but don’t know who to choose

If you have decided that a certain type of therapy is right for you, the next step is to find a therapist. We have a variety of island based therapists listed, all with different expertise and approaches.

To find a therapist, use our search tool. You can refine your search by therapy, location, type of therapist and any other keywords you feel are relevant.

Not all therapies are regulated by law, but to ensure everyone on our directory has professional training, we have created a proof policy. To find out more about this, visit our Therapy Directory policy page.

If you have any questions about using our website to research a therapy or find a therapist, please feel free to contact us - we are here to help.
